About Jonathan Hahn

I grew up in the financial industry. My stepfather built North Star Capital over 30 years, and I spent my formative years watching families make decisions that would shape their futures. Some of those decisions built generational wealth. Others created cycles of debt that lasted decades.

What I noticed was a gap. The people who needed help the most couldn't get it. Wealth management firms wanted clients with six figures to invest. Dave Ramsey wanted you to follow rigid rules that haven't been updated since the 90s. And social media was full of influencers selling get-rich-quick dreams to people who couldn't afford their rent.

I built NorthStar Financial Education to fill that gap. This platform is for the 69% of Americans living paycheck to paycheck who need a real plan, not a lecture. The 10-Step Financial Framework is built on years of industry exposure, hundreds of household case studies, and one core belief: financial coaching should meet you where you are, not where someone thinks you should be.

I also happen to love sports. And it turns out that breaking down an NBA player's salary cap is one of the best ways to teach budgeting. So we do that too.
